“The moment that judgment stops through acceptance of what is, you are free of the mind. You have made room for joy, for love, for peace.”
-Eckhart Tolle
Reynie Sandoval, LCSW
Hi, I’m Reynie (pronounced “Renny”). I have provided mental health therapy in a variety of settings in Utah for over twenty-five years and remain deeply committed to helping people cultivate long-term well-being and greater life satisfaction. My approach is grounded in warmth, acceptance, and compassion, and I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel understood and respected.
I work collaboratively with individuals to clarify their goals and support consistent, meaningful progress toward lasting change. My aim is not only to address current concerns, but to help you build the skills, insight, and resilience needed for a more fulfilling life.
I welcome clients of all adult ages, genders, and backgrounds who may be experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, men’s issues, midlife concerns, ADHD, OCD tendencies, LGBTQ+ identity and self-acceptance, and faith transitions, among others. While I have a strong interest in men’s mental health, my work is grounded in creating a supportive, inclusive space where everyone can feel understood, respected, and at ease. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
My primary clinical approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I help clients develop practical skills for navigating everyday challenges while also addressing deeper core issues that may continue to affect overall functioning. My aim is to support you in understanding your pain, accepting it for what it is, and building the confidence needed to make healthy, values-based choices that promote lasting well-being.
Therapy is tailored to each individual and may incorporate ACT, EMDR, CBT, and other evidence-based approaches as appropriate. Together, we focus on healing from distressing experiences, reducing symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and strengthening communication and relationships.
Outside of my work, I enjoy being present with my loved ones, creating and playing music, watching sports, and continuing to engage in a career I find deeply fulfilling. I look forward to meeting you!
